Cable Operator
Come spend your summer in the sun as a cable operator! This position will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and efficient area around the lake (most importantly the starting dock). This position will be held responsible for operating the cable systems while helping beginners up, keeping a positive and encouraging dock area, maintain a smooth moving line of happy riders! It is an extremely fun fast paced position that takes a lot of concentration. Training will be provided.
Below is a list of some your daily responsibilities:
· Greet all guest that on the starting dock in a positive happy manner
· Operate the cable system
· Daily Maintenance of Cable system
· Watch and be prepared to stop cable system to avoid accidents or damage
· Enforce Park Rules
· Work together with all employees to keep an efficient operation running
· Be proactive in talking about upcoming events and competitions to all customers
· Assist riders off the dock and continue to give tips to ensure a positive dock experience
· Continually check for fallen riders or potential hazards
· Check all riders for USCG approved vests & helmets buckled
· Maintain a clean lake area

Compensation - starting at $13/hr plus unlimited use of the cable systems

Marketing/Sales Internship

KC Watersports is looking for a Management & Marrketing intern for the 2020 summer season. Come get your hands dirty with some real work!
This is a full time 12 week academic internship during the summer semester. The program will commence on May 22rd and will conclude on August 14th. A typical work week will consist of approximately 40 hours per week. The intern will gain knowledge through hands on experience, working on a variety of marketing, sales & management practices. The student is encouraged to earn credit for their internship through their academic unit. The student must consult their academic adviser or the intern coordinator at their academic unit to obtain credit for the internship. KC Watersports will provide any supporting material necessary to help facilitate this process.
The perfect candidate will have completed 3 years of college looking to fulfill an internship requirement. He/she will be outgoing with a passion for the watersports industry and cannot be afraid of getting their hands dirty. Working with minimal supervision is a must and will be challenged to think and create on a regular basis. This is a fast paced summer and will hit the ground running.

Surf Shop & Rental Associate
Positions filled for 2024
This position will be responsible for maintaining an efficient, clean, and organized shop. The position will include selling passes, rental gear, and products in the Pro Shop. You are one of the first faces that our customers see! So the fun, friendly, and helpful atmosphere starts with you. It is imperative that you are outgoing and able to work with little to no supervision. The responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to the tasks outlined below.
Below is a list of some your daily responsibilities:
- Provide Excellent customer service
- Be knowledgeable about the product lines we carry in order to answer questions and sell product efficiently
- Make sure to clear merchandise out of the dressing room after each customer leaves the fitting room
- Sell passes & Rental Gear
- Give correct wrist bands with the proper time purchased
- Get the correct equipment that is being rented
- Make sure each customer buying a pass understands the safety rules
- Make sure that everyone buying a pass signs the release waiver
- Make sure waiver is completely filled out and correctly
- Make sure that everyone buying a pass for the first time this year watches the safety video
- Make sure to check that everyone buying a pass either has a CGA (coast guard approved) life vest or rents one from us and has a helmet
- Engage with the customers (don’t sit behind the desk) find out what they are looking for and give suggestions
- Collect and put up all rental equipment after use
- Make sure to talk about and sell riders and parents on camps/clinics/events
- Straighten product throughout the day
- Follow all directions from manager

General Manager
Think you have what it takes to run this place day in and day out? This position will be responsible for overseeing all cable park operations. This position will oversee and assist with daily operations including operating the cable system, running the front desk, assisting with day camps, performing cable maintenance, and ensuring the overall well being of the customers & employees. It is a fast paced environment with long hot days full of fun and excitement.
