We are excited to bring back the National Points Chase competition to KC Watersports. It will be a 2 part series with the ability to qualify for the national competition in October. You can find full details of the national event on the link below

Entry Fee: $25 or if you have attended 3 days of camp you get FREE entry
Time: We will begin the competition at 4 pm. We will be open from noon - 4pm for practice

Beginner Men
Novice Men (No Airtricks)

Park Format:
Important notes: Must have 2 kickers off the dock.
1 lap + 1 kicker (designated air trick sections)
2 kickers, 2-3 air tricks, 3-4 rails
Seeding round: 1 run and 1 pick up. (everyone moves on; winner gets a bye in round 2)
Quarters/semis/Finals: 1 run and 1 pick up.
Judging:
Broken into 3-4 sections. Score 1-10 for each section. Sections have unique percentages.
3 judges give a score for each section. 1 Scribe writing runs (if needed).
DRIVE Format (Difficulty, Risk, Intensity, Variety, Execution)

3-4 features + kicker
20-30 minutes per heat
6 – 10 riders per heat
8 man final, 30 minute heat.
As many runs as time permits (finish running order).
Best run counts.
Judging:
Score 1-100 for each run. Best run counts.
3 judges each give a score for each rider. Top 3 scores averaged together. No Scribe.
Execution, Difficulty, Composition (EDC)
Execution = clean, proper (no zeaching or prespin), style (pokes, long grabs, etc.)
Difficulty = mentally and physically (commitment, control)
Composition = Variety, creativity, flow (See composition sheet on Thewwa.com)

Trick Limitations (Park Division Only):
Beginner Wakeboard Park:
Kickers: Frontside 180’s and Straight airs. NO inverts.
Air Tricks: Ollie frontside 180 and butters/surface spins (surface 360 allowed) NO air tricks.
Rails: NO Transfers (Transfer = greater than 2 foot step up from the side of a rail)
Novice Wakeboard Park:
Kickers: 360 spins MAX. Basic inverts (NO blind or handle pass inverts)
Air Tricks: Ollie 360 spins MAX. NO air tricks.
Rails: NO blind landing transfers/ollies. NO inverted transfers
Amateur Wakeskate Park:
Kickers: Frontside 180’s and straight airs. NO shuvs/flip tricks.
Flats Tricks: 180 based tricks MAX (180 – ollies, body varials, shuvs) NO flip tricks.
Rails: NO transfers, NO shuvs/flip tricks onto.
Amateur Women Wakeboard Park:
Kickers: 360 spins MAX. Basic inverts (NO blind or handle pass inverts)
Air Tricks: Ollie 360 Spins MAX. NO air tricks.
