I was born in Colorado and started snow skiing at the age of two. I guess you could say that my parents got me hooked on action sports at an early age! I moved to Iowa at young age and spent my youth competing in a wide variety of sports. I attended Iowa State University and received my degree in Marketing.
After college I held positions in both sales and management. I moved back to Colorado and this was the turning point in my life. I started skiing again and felt myself slip right back into the love of action sports. When the winters were over I didn’t have anything to do and I felt lost! It was four years ago when I started wakeboarding and wakeskating. I instantly fell in love with the sport; the only problem was that I didn’t have a boat! I started to find out more about Cable Parks and researched as much as I could about the sport and industry. The more I found out about the business side of things the more I wanted to open and run a cable park. I have been working on putting all the pieces together for getting a park opened in Colorado for about three years. I would get so close; but there was always something missing. Then October 2010 the stars aligned for me. I received a call from Tony Finn asking if I wanted to partner up with him and Marco Thompson and move to Kansas and become the owner/operator of KCW! The answer was yes! I moved to Kansas in January and the rest is history. I’m living my dream in the action sports business. |

A little background on me, I have lived in CO my entire life,
growing up on the family ranch in Silverthorne, CO. Snowboarding
and wakeboarding have always been a big part of my life. I remember
learning to wakeboard, using a skurfer, in Lake Powell
way back when. Not many people even know what a skurfer is anymore.
Other than working on the ranch, I worked for contractors in many different trades, roofing, framing, concrete, etc. After college, I have held sales positions, inside and outside, in a number of different industries. I was very successful with these companies in assisting them to achieve considerable growth is sales. However, it all boils down to, now I'm working in a field that is a passion of mine. I go to work everyday ready and excited to see what the day holds. I can't say that I have ever had that feeling working behind a sales desk. Other than that, I really like to travel. Have tried many times in the bay area of CA to surf, have caught one wave and it was ugly. Some day I want to catch a real wave! |
