A new twist on an annual epic event! The twist this year is we will be only hosting the competition at the cable park. This will allow for everyone to get more riding in than ever but still have the ability to compete! We want to help everyone progress their riding and know this event layout will do that. Here’s how the day of progressions will flow.
Join us for a 3 day weekend filled with tons of riding & good times!
Friday Sept 27th
Cable open riding 2pm – 7pm
9 pm – Bonfire & Ghost Stories
Saturday Sept 28th
10 am - Pancake Breakfast
Every team is required to submit to KCW by 10 am on Saturday morning a list of all of their riders with a trick that rider is wanting to learn that day. This chosen trick for each rider can be as simple as a first lap around the cable park to a double backflip. There are a couple of conditions that must be met when choosing a trick. First and most importantly it MUST be a trick you have never landed before! Don’t be a sandbagger and go out and learn something new!
The cable will start spinning at 11 am and that is when practice begins. KCW will have “coaches” around to help learn new tricks as well as your team leaders to help coach as well. Practice will be open until 4 pm when we will start the competition. Each rider will have 1 opportunity to land their trick and will get a score of 1-10. The teams scores will be averaged to figure out the winning team.
Following the team competition we will host a round of individual mini games. These games will include
Wakeskate Skiball,
Most surface 360’s in 1 lap
Big Air contest off of the kicker
9 pm awards & Music to dance to
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 in each of the team & mini comps
Sunday Sept 29th
Cable Open riding noon – 6pm
